Community Service
Do you have a spare minute to help some one? Outreach to the immediate neighborhood and to Oakland as a whole is extremely important at St. Paul's. These are the services that we support:
- The Food Co-Op provides fresh produce at wholesale prices to the neighborhood. It is open to all on Thursday at 10 am. We encourage people to bring canned food for the hungry on Sundays.
- Senior Resources offers counseling and assistance to the elderly and their caregivers.
- St. Paul's choristers visit and sing in the nursing unit at St. Paul's Towers every second Sunday of the month. St. Paul's Towers is an Episcopal Homes Foundation retirement community. For more information, call (510) 835-4700.
- Feeding homeless Seniors at St. Mary’s Center Each year St. Mary’s Center (just off San Pablo Avenue) feeds and shelters 25 homeless seniors during the winter months. Again this year we are participating (along with the St. Paul’s Towers and School.

St. Paul's members are preparing something good to eat at St. Mary's Center.
